Course Objectives

In three days, participants will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to:

  • Understand and describe the PRINCE2® structured project management method.
  • Take the PRINCE2® Foundation exam with confidence by applying newly acquired knowledge.
  • Apply PRINCE2® principles in practice.

Prerequisites

An understanding of project management is helpful, but prior PRINCE2® knowledge is not required.

Certification Exam Included

The AXELOS PRINCE2® Foundation exam is included.  Format: 60 multiple-choice questions. Duration: 60 minutes.

Course Details

This course includes interactive presentations, classroom discussions, and exam-like exercises to reinforce learning.

Day 1

  • Introduction to PRINCE2® and the project environment
  • The 7 Principles (overview)
  • The 7 Themes (overview)

Day 2

  • The 7 Processes (Starting up, Directing, Initiating, Controlling a Stage, Managing Product Delivery, Managing a Stage Boundary, Closing a Project)
  • Deeper dive into Themes (Business Case, Organization, Quality, Plans, Risk, Change, Progress)

Day 3

  • Applying and tailoring PRINCE2® to projects
  • Roles, management products, and governance
  • Exam review and preparation
